1 1. Адносна часоў і пораў, браты, няма патрэбы пісаць да вас, 2 2. бо вы самі дакладна ведаеце, што дзень Госпадаў гэтак прыйдзе, як злодзей уначы. 3 3. Калі вось будуць гаварыць: «Супакой і бясьпека», тады неспадзявана прыйдзе на іх зьнішчэньне, быццам мукі радзін на цяжарную, і яны не ўцякуць. 4 4. Вы ж, браты, ня ў цемры, каб дзень гэты захапіў вас, як злодзей: 5 5. усе вы — сыны сьвятла і сыны дня, мы не належым ані ночы, ані цемры. 6 6. Дык ня будзем спаць, як іншыя, але чувайма і будзьма пільнымі, 7 7. бо тыя, што сьпяць, уначы сьпяць, і тыя, што ўпіваюцца, уначы ўпіваюцца. 8 8. Просім жа вас, браты, ведайце тых, якія працуюць у вас, і кіруюць вамі ў Госпадзе, і настаўляюць вас, 13 13. і шануйце іх вельмі высока ў любові дзеля працы іхняй; жывіце ў згодзе між сабою. 14 14. Молім вас таксама, браты, настаўляйце свавольных, пацяшайце маладушных, падтрымлівайце слабых, будзьце доўгацярплівымі да ўсіх. 15 15. Глядзіце, каб ніхто нікому не аддаваў ліхам за ліха, але заўсёды імкніцеся да дабра і адзін для аднога, і для ўсіх. 16 16. Заўсёды радуйцеся. 17 17. Несупынна маліцеся. 18 18. За ўсё дзякуйце, бо такая для вас воля Божая ў Хрысьце Ісусе. 19 19. Духа не гасіце. 20 20. Прароцтвамі не пагарджайце. 21 21. Усё выпрабоўвайце; добрага трымайцеся. 22 22. Высьцерагайцеся ад усякага роду зла. 23 23. Сам жа Бог супакою няхай асьвяціць вас у-ва ўсёй поўні, і ўвесь ваш дух, і душа, і цела няхай захаваюцца без заганы ў прыйсьце Госпада нашага Ісуса Хрыста. 24 24. Верны Той, Які вас паклікаў; Ён і зробіць [гэта]. 25 25. Браты! Маліцеся за нас! 26 26. Прывітайце ўсіх братоў пацалункам сьвятым. 27 27. Заклінаю вас Госпадам прачытаць гэтае пасланьне ўсім сьвятым братам. 28 28. Ласка Госпада нашага Ісуса Хрыста з вамі. Амэн.
