Revelation 4 (BPH)
1 Efter at jeg havde set Jesus og fået budskabet til de syv menigheder, fik jeg et andet syn. Jeg så en åben dør ind til Himlen, og jeg hørte den samme stemme, som havde talt til mig før, den, der lød som en trompetfanfare. Stemmen sagde til mig: „Kom herop! Så vil jeg vise dig, hvad der vil ske senere hen.” 2 Straks kom jeg under Åndens magt, og i den himmelske verden så jeg nu en trone, og der sad en person på den. 3 Han strålede som diamanter og rubiner. Hele vejen rundt om ham var der ligesom en regnbue, der lyste som smaragd. 4 Rundt om Guds trone stod 24 andre troner, og der sad 24 medregenter på dem, alle klædt i hvidt og med en gylden sejrskrans på hovedet. 5 Ud fra tronen kom der lynglimt og tordenbrag, og foran tronen var der syv brændende fakler, det er Guds syv ånder. 6 Foran tronen var der også noget ligesom et gennemsigtigt, krystalklart hav. Tæt rundt om Guds trone var der fire levende væsener med øjne overalt, både foran og bagpå. 7 Det første levende væsen lignede en løve, det andet en okse, det tredje havde et ansigt som et menneske, og det fjerde lignede en ørn. 8 De fire væsener havde hver seks vinger med øjne både på ydersiden og indersiden. Dag og nat råbte de uafbrudt: „Hellig, hellig, hellig er Herren, den øverste hersker, han, som var, og som er, og som kommer!” 9 Hver gang de fire væsener med deres hyldest og tak ærede ham, der sad på tronen, ham, som lever i al evighed, 10 bøjede de 24 medregenter sig ned for ham, og de hyldede ham. De tog deres sejrskranse af og lagde dem ned foran ham og råbte: 11 „Herre, vores Gud, du er værdig til at få al ære, hyldest og magt, for du har skabt alle ting, og de eksisterer, fordi du ville det!”
