Hebrews 1 (LBA)
1 Dieu ayant autrefois parlé aux pères, à plusieurs reprises et en plusieurs manières, par les prophètes, nous a parlé en ces derniers jours par le Fils, 2 qu'il a établi héritier de toutes choses, par lequel aussi il a fait l'univers, 3 et qui, étant le rayonnement de sa gloire, et l'empreinte de son être, et soutenant toutes choses par la parole de sa puissance, après avoir fait la purification des péchés, s'est assis à la droite de la Majesté, dans les lieux élevés ; 4 étant devenu d'autant plus excellent que les anges, qu'il a hérité d'un nom plus excellent que le leur. 5 Car auquel des anges a-t-il jamais dit : Tu es mon Fils, c'est moi qui t'ai engendré aujourd'hui ? Et encore : Moi je lui serai pour Père, et lui me sera pour Fils ? 6 Et plus loin, quand il introduit dans le monde le Premier-né, il dit : Que tous les anges de Dieu l'adorent. 7 Et aux anges, il dit : Il fait de ses anges des vents, et de ses ministres une flamme de feu ; 8 mais au Fils, il dit : Ton trône, ô Dieu ! est aux siècles des siècles, et c'est le sceptre de la droiture que le sceptre de ton règne ! 9 Tu as aimé la justice et tu as haï l'iniquité ; c'est pourquoi, ô Dieu ! ton Dieu t'a oint d'une huile d'allégresse, au-dessus de tes collègues. 10 Et : Toi, Seigneur, tu as au commencement fondé la terre, et les cieux sont l'ouvrage de tes mains ; 11 eux périront, mais toi tu demeures ; et ils vieilliront tous comme un vêtement ; 12 et tu les rouleras comme un manteau, et ils seront changés ; mais toi, tu es le même, et tes années ne finiront point. 13 Et auquel des anges a-t-il jamais dit : Assieds-toi à ma droite, jusqu'à ce que j'aie mis tes ennemis pour ton marchepied ? 14 Ne sont-ils pas tous des esprits au service de Dieu, envoyés pour exercer un ministère en faveur de ceux qui doivent hériter du salut ?
