1 අපරං තද්විශ්‍රාමප්‍රාප්තේඃ ප්‍රතිඥා යදි තිෂ්ඨති තර්හ්‍යස්මාකං කශ්චිත් චේත් තස්‍යාඃ ඵලේන වඤ්චිතෝ භවේත් වයම් ඒතස්මාද් බිභීමඃ| 2 යතෝ (අ)ස්මාකං සමීපේ යද්වත් තද්වත් තේෂාං සමීපේ(අ)පි සුසංවාදඃ ප්‍රචාරිතෝ (අ)භවත් කින්තු තෛඃ ශ්‍රුතං වාක්‍යං තාන් ප්‍රති නිෂ්ඵලම් අභවත්, යතස්තේ ශ්‍රෝතාරෝ විශ්වාසේන සාර්ද්ධං තන්නාමිශ්‍රයන්| 3 තද් විශ්‍රාමස්ථානං විශ්වාසිභිරස්මාභිඃ ප්‍රවිශ්‍යතේ යතස්තේනෝක්තං, "අහං කෝපාත් ශපථං කෘතවාන් ඉමං, ප්‍රවේක්‍ෂ්‍යතේ ජනෛරේතෛ ර්න විශ්‍රාමස්ථලං මම| " කින්තු තස්‍ය කර්ම්මාණි ජගතඃ සෘෂ්ටිකාලාත් සමාප්තානි සන්ති| 4 යතඃ කස්මිංශ්චිත් ස්ථානේ සප්තමං දිනමධි තේනේදම් උක්තං, යථා, "ඊශ්වරඃ සප්තමේ දිනේ ස්වකෘතේභ්‍යඃ සර්ව්වකර්ම්මභ්‍යෝ විශශ්‍රාම| " 5 කින්ත්වේතස්මින් ස්ථානේ පුනස්තේනෝච්‍යතේ, යථා, "ප්‍රවේක්‍ෂ්‍යතේ ජනෛරේතෛ ර්න විශ්‍රාමස්ථලං මම| " 6 ඵලතස්තත් ස්ථානං කෛශ්චිත් ප්‍රවේෂ්ටව්‍යං කින්තු යේ පුරා සුසංවාදං ශ්‍රුතවන්තස්තෛරවිශ්වාසාත් තන්න ප්‍රවිෂ්ටම්, 7 ඉති හේතෝඃ ස පුනරද්‍යනාමකං දිනං නිරූප්‍ය දීර්ඝකාලේ ගතේ(අ)පි පූර්ව්වෝක්තාං වාචං දායූදා කථයති, යථා, "අද්‍ය යූයං කථාං තස්‍ය යදි සංශ්‍රෝතුමිච්ඡථ, තර්හි මා කුරුතේදානීං කඨිනානි මනාංසි වඃ| " 8 අපරං යිහෝශූයෝ යදි තාන් ව්‍යශ්‍රාමයිෂ්‍යත් තර්හි තතඃ පරම් අපරස්‍ය දිනස්‍ය වාග් ඊශ්වරේණ නාකථයිෂ්‍යත| 9 අත ඊශ්වරස්‍ය ප්‍රජාභිඃ කර්ත්තව්‍ය ඒකෝ විශ්‍රාමස්තිෂ්ඨති| 10 අපරම් ඊශ්වරෝ යද්වත් ස්වකෘතකර්ම්මභ්‍යෝ විශශ්‍රාම තද්වත් තස්‍ය විශ්‍රාමස්ථානං ප්‍රවිෂ්ටෝ ජනෝ(අ)පි ස්වකෘතකර්ම්මභ්‍යෝ විශ්‍රාම්‍යති| 11 අතෝ වයං තද් විශ්‍රාමස්ථානං ප්‍රවේෂ්ටුං යතාමහෛ, තදවිශ්වාසෝදාහරණේන කෝ(අ)පි න පතතු| 12 ඊශ්වරස්‍ය වාදෝ(අ)මරඃ ප්‍රභාවවිශිෂ්ටශ්ච සර්ව්වස්මාද් ද්විධාරඛඞ්ගාදපි තීක්‍ෂ්ණඃ, අපරං ප්‍රාණාත්මනෝ ර්ග්‍රන්ථිමජ්ජයෝශ්ච පරිභේදාය විච්ඡේදකාරී මනසශ්ච සඞ්කල්පානාම් අභිප්‍රේතානාඤ්ච විචාරකඃ| 13 අපරං යස්‍ය සමීපේ ස්වීයා ස්වීයා කථාස්මාභිඃ කථයිතව්‍යා තස්‍යාගෝචරඃ කෝ(අ)පි ප්‍රාණී නාස්ති තස්‍ය දෘෂ්ටෞ සර්ව්වමේවානාවෘතං ප්‍රකාශිතඤ්චාස්තේ| 14 අපරං ය උච්චතමං ස්වර්ගං ප්‍රවිෂ්ට ඒතාදෘශ ඒකෝ ව්‍යක්තිරර්ථත ඊශ්වරස්‍ය පුත්‍රෝ යීශුරස්මාකං මහායාජකෝ(අ)ස්ති, අතෝ හේතෝ ර්වයං ධර්ම්මප්‍රතිඥාං දෘඪම් ආලම්බාමහෛ| 15 අස්මාකං යෝ මහායාජකෝ (අ)ස්ති සෝ(අ)ස්මාකං දුඃඛෛ ර්දුඃඛිතෝ භවිතුම් අශක්තෝ නහි කින්තු පාපං විනා සර්ව්වවිෂයේ වයමිව පරීක්‍ෂිතඃ| 16 අතඒව කෘපාං ග්‍රහීතුං ප්‍රයෝජනීයෝපකාරාර්ථම් අනුග්‍රහං ප්‍රාප්තුඤ්ච වයම් උත්සාහේනානුග්‍රහසිංහාසනස්‍ය සමීපං යාමඃ|
