Nie jest to żadne nowe przykazanie, wszyscy bowiem dobrze je znamy od samego początku. 6 Miłość wyraża się w posłuszeństwie Bożym przykazaniom, które poznaliście już na samym początku. 7 Piszę o tym, ponieważ pojawiło się wielu oszustów, którzy twierdzą, że Jezus Chrystus nie przyszedł na świat w prawdziwym, ludzkim ciele. Jeśli tak uczynicie, otrzymacie od Pana pełną nagrodę. 9 Każdy, kto się oddala od nauki Chrystusa i nie trzyma się jej, w rzeczywistości odwraca się od samego Boga. Ten zaś, kto jest jej wierny, trwa w jedności z Bogiem Ojcem oraz Jego Synem. 10 Jeśli przyjdzie do was jakiś nauczyciel, który nie trzyma się zdrowej nauki Chrystusa, nie zapraszajcie go do domu ani go nawet nie pozdrawiajcie. 11 Ten bowiem, kto go serdecznie wita, utożsamia się z jego złymi czynami. 12 Chciałbym powiedzieć wam jeszcze o wielu innych sprawach. Nie będę jednak teraz o nich pisać, mam bowiem nadzieję, że niebawem was odwiedzę, a wtedy porozmawiamy o wszystkim osobiście.
