Hosea 7 (ELBE)
1 Sobald ich Israel heilen will, werden die Ungerechtigkeit Ephraims und die Bosheiten Samarias offenbar; denn sie üben Falschheit, und der Dieb dringt ein, draußen raubt die Streifschar. 2 Und sie sprechen nicht in ihrem Herzen, dass ich all ihrer Bosheit gedenke; nun haben ihre Handlungen sie umringt, sie stehen vor meinem Angesicht. 3 Mit ihrer Bosheit erfreuen sie den König und mit ihren Lügen die Fürsten. 4 Sie sind Ehebrecher allesamt, wie ein Ofen, vom Bäcker geheizt, der zu schüren aufhört vom Kneten des Teiges an bis zu seiner Gärung. 5 Am Tag unseres Königs machen sich die Fürsten krank von der Glut des Weines; er streckt seine Hand aus mit den Spöttern. 6 Denn sie haben ihr Herz wie einen Ofen ihrer Arglist nahe gebracht; ihr Bäcker schläft die ganze Nacht; am Morgen brennt jener wie ein flammendes Feuer. 7 Sie allesamt glühen wie ein Ofen und verzehren ihre Richter. Alle ihre Könige sind gefallen; niemand unter ihnen ruft mich an. 8 Ephraim vermischt sich mit den Völkern; Ephraim ist wie ein Kuchen geworden, der nicht umgewendet ist. 9 Fremde haben seine Kraft verzehrt, und er weiß es nicht; auch ist graues Haar auf sein Haupt gesprengt, und er weiß es nicht. 10 Und der Stolz Israels zeugt ihm ins Angesicht; und sie kehren nicht um zu dem HERRN, ihrem Gott, und bei alledem suchen sie ihn nicht. 11 Und Ephraim ist wie eine einfältige Taube geworden, ohne Verstand; sie rufen Ägypten an, sie gehen nach Assyrien. 12 Sobald sie hingehen, werde ich mein Netz über sie ausbreiten, wie die Vögel des Himmels werde ich sie herabziehen. Ich werde sie züchtigen gemäß dem, was ihrer Gemeinde verkündigt worden ist. 13 Wehe ihnen! Denn sie sind von mir geflohen; Zerstörung über sie! Denn sie sind von mir abgefallen. Und ich möchte sie erlösen, sie aber reden Lügen über mich. 14 Und sie schreien nicht zu mir in ihrem Herzen, sondern sie heulen auf ihren Lagern; um Korn und Most scharen sie sich; sie weichen ab und wenden sich gegen mich. 15 Und ich, ich hatte ihre Arme unterwiesen und gestärkt, aber sie ersinnen Böses gegen mich. 16 Sie wenden sich um, doch nicht nach oben: sie sind wie ein trügerischer Bogen geworden. Ihre Fürsten werden durchs Schwert fallen wegen der Wut ihrer Zunge: das wird ihre Verspottung sein im Land Ägypten.
