2 Thessalonians 2 (PDDPT)
1 Pero con respecto a la venida de nuestro Señor Jesucristo y nuestra reunión con Él, les rogamos, hermanos, 2 que no se muevan fácilmente del entendimiento, ni sean perturbados por espíritu, ni por palabra, ni por epístola como si fuera de nosotros, en el sentido de que el día del Señor llegó. 3 ¡Que nadie los engañe en ninguna manera! Pues no sucederá si la apostasía no viene primero, y se manifiesta el hombre de iniquidad, el hijo de destrucción, 4 el oponente que se levanta contra todo lo que es llamado Dios o es objeto de adoración, hasta el punto de tomar asiento en el Santuario de Dios para proclamar que él mismo es Dios. 5 ¿No recuerdan que les decía estas cosas cuando yo estaba aún con ustedes? 6 Ahora saben lo que lo detiene, a fin de que sea revelado en el tiempo de él. 7 Porque ya se mueve el misterio de la iniquidad. En el tiempo presente está el que lo detiene, hasta que sea quitado de en medio. 8 Entonces se manifestará el inicuo, a quien el Señor matará con el aliento de su boca, y lo reducirá a la impotencia con la gloria de su venida. 9 La venida del inicuo es por operación de Satanás, con toda clase de poderes, señales milagrosas y prodigios falsos, 10 y con todo engaño de iniquidad para los que se pierden, porque no aceptaron el amor a la verdad para ser salvos. 11 Por esto Dios les envía una operación engañosa para que ellos crean en la mentira, 12 a fin de que sean juzgados todos los que no creyeron en la verdad, sino se deleitaron en la injusticia. 13 Hermanos amados por el Señor, nosotros tenemos que dar gracias siempre a Dios por ustedes, pues desde el principio Él los escogió para salvación por medio de la santificación del espíritu y fe en la verdad. 14 A esto los llamó por medio de nuestras Buenas Noticias para que obtengan la gloria de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. 15 Así que, hermanos, estén firmes y retengan las tradiciones como las enseñamos, bien por palabra o por epístola nuestra. 16 El mismo Señor nuestro, Jesucristo, y Dios nuestro Padre, Quien nos amó y nos dio consolación eterna y buena esperanza por gracia, 17 consuele y confirme sus corazones en toda obra y buena palabra.
