1 Thessalonians 1 (UGV2)

1 یہ خط پولس، سلوانس اور تیمُتھیُس کی طرف سے ہے۔ہم تِھسّلُنیکیوں کی جماعت کو لکھ رہے ہیں، اُنہیں جو خدا باپ اور خداوند عیسیٰ مسیح پر ایمان لائے ہیں۔اللہ آپ کو فضل اور سلامتی بخشے۔ 2 ہم ہر وقت آپ سب کے لئے خدا کا شکر کرتے اور اپنی دعاؤں میں آپ کو یاد کرتے رہتے ہیں۔ 3 ہمیں اپنے خدا باپ کے حضور خاص کر آپ کا عمل، محنت مشقت اور ثابت قدمی یاد آتی رہتی ہے۔ آپ اپنا ایمان کتنی اچھی طرح عمل میں لائے، آپ نے محبت کی روح میں کتنی محنت مشقت کی اور آپ نے کتنی ثابت قدمی دکھائی، ایسی ثابت قدمی جو صرف ہمارے خداوند عیسیٰ مسیح پر اُمید ہی دلا سکتی ہے۔ 4 بھائیو، اللہ آپ سے محبت رکھتا ہے، اور ہمیں پورا علم ہے کہ اُس نے آپ کو واقعی چن لیا ہے۔ 5 کیونکہ جب ہم نے اللہ کی خوش خبری آپ تک پہنچائی تو نہ صرف باتیں کر کے بلکہ قوت کے ساتھ، روح القدس میں اور پورے اعتماد کے ساتھ۔ آپ جانتے ہیں کہ جب ہم آپ کے پاس تھے تو ہم نے کس طرح کی زندگی گزاری۔ جو کچھ ہم نے کیا وہ آپ کی خاطر کیا۔ 6 اُس وقت آپ ہمارے اور خداوند کے نمونے پر چلنے لگے۔ اگرچہ آپ بڑی مصیبت میں پڑ گئے توبھی آپ نے ہمارے پیغام کو اُس خوشی کے ساتھ قبول کیا جو صرف روح القدس دے سکتا ہے۔ 7 یوں آپ صوبہ مکدُنیہ اور صوبہ اخیہ کے تمام ایمان داروں کے لئے نمونہ بن گئے۔ 8 خداوند کے پیغام کی آواز آپ میں سے نکل کر نہ صرف مکدُنیہ اور اخیہ میں سنائی دی، بلکہ یہ خبر کہ آپ اللہ پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں ہر جگہ تک پہنچ گئی ہے۔ نتیجے میں ہمیں کچھ کہنے کی ضرورت نہیں رہی، 9 کیونکہ لوگ ہر جگہ بات کر رہے ہیں کہ آپ نے ہمیں کس طرح خوش آمدید کہا ہے، کہ آپ نے کس طرح بُتوں سے منہ پھیر کر اللہ کی طرف رجوع کیا تاکہ زندہ اور حقیقی خدا کی خدمت کریں۔ 10 لوگ یہ بھی کہہ رہے ہیں کہ اب آپ اِس انتظار میں ہیں کہ اللہ کا فرزند آسمان پر سے آئے یعنی عیسیٰ جسے اللہ نے مُردوں میں سے زندہ کر دیا اور جو ہمیں آنے والے غضب سے بچائے گا۔
