Revelation 7 (BOPLNT)
1 Po tym wszystkim zobaczyłem czterech aniołów, stojących na czterech krańcach ziemi i powstrzymujących cztery wiatry. Dzięki nim nie drgnęło żadne drzewo ani żadna inna rzecz na ziemi; nie poruszyło się nawet morze. 2 Wtedy zobaczyłem innego anioła, przybywającego ze wschodu i niosącego wielką pieczęć żywego Boga. Głośno zawołał on do czterech aniołów, którym pozwolono niszczyć ziemię i morze: 3 „Nie niszczcie ziemi i drzew oraz morza, dopóki nie postawimy Bożej pieczęci na czołach tych, którzy Mu służą”. 4 I usłyszałem liczbę opieczętowanych—sto czterdzieści cztery tysiące osób ze wszystkich rodów Izraela. 5 Opieczętowano więc po dwanaście tysięcy osób z poszczególnych rodów:Judy, Rubena, Gada, 6 Asera, Neftalego, Manassesa, 7 Symeona, Lewiego, Issachara, 8 Zabulona, Józefa oraz Beniamina. 9 Następnie zobaczyłem ogromny, niezliczony tłum ludzi pochodzących ze wszystkich narodów, plemion, ludów i języków. Stali oni przed tronem oraz przed Barankiem, ubrani w białe szaty. W rękach trzymali gałęzie palmy 10 i głośno wołali:„Zbawienie pochodzi od naszego Boga,który zasiada na tronie,oraz od Baranka!”. 11 Wszyscy aniołowie zgromadzili się wokół tronu, starszych oraz czterech istot, a następnie upadli przed tronem na twarz i wielbili Boga, wołając: 12 „Amen! Wieczne uwielbienie,chwała i mądrość,wdzięczność i cześć,władza i moc—wszystko to należy do naszego Boga! Amen!”. 13 Wtedy jeden ze starszych zapytał mnie:—Kim są ci ludzie w białych szatach? Skąd przybyli? 14 —Panie, na pewno to wiesz—odparłem.—Zanim tu przyszli, doświadczyli ogromnych prześladowań—odpowiedział. —Ich szaty są białe, ponieważ zostały oczyszczone dzięki przelanej krwi Baranka. 15 Dlatego właśnie stoją przed tronem Boga, dniem i nocą służąc w Jego świątyni. W Jego obecności są bowiem na zawsze bezpieczni. 16 Nigdy nie będą już cierpieć z powodu głodu, pragnienia czy upału. 17 Baranek, który stoi przed tronem, zawsze będzie się o nich troszczył i zaprowadzi ich do źródła wody życia. Bóg zaś otrze z ich oczu wszelkie łzy.
